Step-by-Step, Inc is a non-profit 501(c)(3)organization located in Huntsville, Alabama. It was founded in 2007 developed to educate and empower teenage girls and boys in Alabama.
Step-by-Step, Inc founders, Nicole A. Shoulders and Alison D. Wilson-Young, began serving girls and boys in their homes in 2001. It was their desire to share their love, compassion, commitment, and resources to the girls and boys of Huntsville, and its surrounding area. Currently, Step-by-Step, Inc uses Church Street Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America as its site.
Since its origination, Step-by-Step, Inc continues to be an organization dedicated to empower girls and boys ages 5-14, to be positive risk-takers and develop their individual talents; thus creating an arena for academic excellence and critical thinking. Step-by-Step, Inc has the desire to impact the lives of girls and boys of Huntsville, and its surrounding areas through various programs including: mentoring, big brother/big sister volunteers, tutoring, summer programming, sponsoring high school students for special events, adopting a classroom, family luncheons, sponsoring productions/plays, and many more.
